ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Blossman Gas & Appliance has served as a one-stop shop for propane needs since its founding in 1951. The company offers propane delivery, tank installation, gas appliances, and appliance services, catering to both residential and commercial customers.

With more than 85 locations across 16 states, Blossman Gas & Appliance serves a wide range of customers — from homeowners with a single propane grill to businesses and residences utilizing multiple propane-powered products.

“Propane offers significant environmental benefits compared to traditional fuels,” said David Lipe, general manager of Blossman Gas & Appliance in Asheville. “For example, propane produces 52% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than electricity generated from coal-based sources.”

Blossman Gas & Appliance has been operating in Western North Carolina since the 1990s. The company was founded by Woodrow “Woody” Blossman in 1951 in Mississippi, with initial locations in Gulfport and Pascagoula. Blossman built the business on the philosophy that exceeding customer expectations and valuing employees were key to success.

“All of our competitors had money, equipment, and everything we didn’t have,” Woody Blossman once said. “But they did not have the people we had.”

Blossman Gas & Appliance continues to emphasize customer service, setting itself apart by prioritizing both employees and customers.

The company also provides propane safety tips, facts, and recipes on its blog, available at BlossmanGas.com. Additionally, it participates in various community events, including three annual “Cruise-In” gatherings in May, July, and September, where car enthusiasts can connect over music and classic vehicles. Blossman Gas & Appliance also sponsors and supports numerous other local initiatives throughout the year.
