Starting Midnight 8/30/19 through 11:59pm 07/31/20, 98.1 The River will conduct The River Lunch Run Giveaway Contest and will direct listeners to register to win 1 time at www.981theriver.com. Winners will be drawn at random. Miles will call the winners and confirm the River Lunch Run for a specific date. If the winners agree, Miles will bring lunch from Twisted Laurel to the winners’ place of work for him/her and up to 20 people on that specific date. If the winner does not confirm the date, the prize will be forfeited.
The next River Lunch Run will occur on Wednesday, October 16th and a winner will be drawn before 10/16/19. If the winner does not confirm the date of October 16th, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn.
The River Lunch Run will occur on specific dates throughout the contest dates, and the food will be provided by Twisted Laurel. Valuation at or about $300. You must be at least 18 years old to register.

Winners will be contacted by 1/31/20. 98.1 The River contests are open to all eligible Asheville and surrounding areas in North Carolina. For this contest winners must be 18 or older, have not won anything in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of 98.1 The River, Asheville Radio Group, Saga Communications of North Carolina, LLC., and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of 1140 Patton Ave main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
One entry per person. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
No purchase necessary. 98.1 The River’s Sole responsibility will be to award the prize. 98.1 The River will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
