Contest Rules

Beginning at 12:00am on september 15, 2025, and ending at 11:59pm september 19, 2025, entrants can complete a register to win form at 981TheRiver.com to enter to win tickets to see Lucy Dacus at Asheville Yards Amphitheater on September 23, 2025. There will be five winners. Tickets are valued at $TBD per ticket for a total value of $TBD retail.

Winners and show date will be chosen at random by a representative of 98.1 The River on Monday, september 22, 2025 and notified by 5pm the same day.

Prize is claimed via electronic transfer. Tickets will be electronically transferred to email account under which contest participant registered for contest on the same day winner is notified, September 22, 2025. Ticket Transfer will be ordered via TIXR and TIXR will email winner notification that you have a ticket transfer waiting for acceptance. Winner must create a TIXR account or log in to existing account associated with email used to enter the contest in order to accept ticket transfer and access your tickets.

The contest is open to those a who hold a valid article of state identification and are 18 years of age or older and those 18 or older with a valid military I.D.

All 98.1 The River general contest rules apply. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Asheville Radio Group’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. Asheville Radio Group shall have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner for any reason cannot or decides not to use any of the prize.

Pawpaw ice cream returns to The Hop, plus Asheville GreenWorks event

The pawpaw fruit for the ice cream, which will come to The Hop on Oct. 3, comes from Milkweed Meadows Farm, a family farm located outside of Hendersonville. The farm maintains an orchard of over 100 pawpaw trees to nurture zebra swallowtails, a butterfly which relies entirely on the leaves of the tree.
