ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Soprana Rooftop Cucina, a local brick-oven pizza kitchen, raised $2,000 for community relief nonprofit BeLoved Asheville at an event held earlier this month.

Rooftop for Relief receipt

The Soprana event, Rooftop for Relief, was organized in acknowledgement of the one year anniversary of Hurricane Helene hitting Western North Carolina.

Rooftop for Relief was held from 5:30 to 10 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11 at the rooftop restaurant, with free admission for the public. The fundraiser saw $2 from every pizza sold and $5 from two signature cocktails featuring Cultivated Cocktails spirits donated to BeLoved, as well as 100% of the proceeds from a raffle.
