ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) —
Asheville is no stranger to combining good music with a cold drink. Maybe that explains why many of the record shops in town double as bars.
As the weather gets a little chillier, consider taking those old records off the shelf – or checking out these shops for a couple of new ones – and listening to some autumn tunes as you peruse this gallery of Asheville record stores.

Harvest Records is located just off of Haywood Rd. and celebrates two decades of business this year.
Voltage Records is literally your record shop on the corner, sitting at an easily accessible spot on N Lexington Ave.
The exterior of Static Age Records is a diminutive little building, but it boasts a large record collection inside.
Harvest Records, founded in 2004, may be dark in this photo, but it usually bustles with people and energy.
Static Age Records in downtown Asheville has a bust of Elvis looking out over the street.
The interior of Static Age Records includes a bar, a wide selection of records and a performance stage in the back.
Citizen Vinyl gets its name from cohabitating the same building as long-running newspaper the Asheville Citizen-Times.
Citizen Vinyl has its label on many of the records in the store, including those of local artists Town Mountain and Tyler Ramsey.
Inside Citizen Vinyl, employees play records for guests on a turn-table in the main show room.
Citizen Vinyl presses records too, as this colorful display demonstrates through its window.
Customers can flip through records at Voltage Records with ease thanks to the store labels. Certain artists are even spotlit, including North Carolina native Nina Simone.
Records in the RAD has only been around for two years, but it is far and away the largest and brightest record shop in the Asheville area.
The Records in the RAD show room has a well organized and large collection of vinyl, including these Phoebe Bridgers LPs, as well as local artwork hanging on the walls for sale.
