ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Blue Dragons, an Asheville Americana and blues band, will perform two benefit sets at the Grey Eagle next weekend, the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene, in support of a Helene recovery album.

Boogie with Blue Dragons

The Blue Dragons show will be held from 8 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27 at The Grey Eagle. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the concert will go to support the Asheville Holiday Album, a benefit album project that will support Independent Arts and Music of Asheville, an organization which platforms and supports community musicians.

Tickets are $16.36 and can be purchased here.

“We’re thrilled to play The Grey Eagle, a cornerstone of Asheville’s music community, and to be able to give back through this event,” said James Fisher, bassist and one of the band’s songwriters, in a press release. “Music has the power to bring people together, and we hope this night does just that.”

For the benefit concert, Blue Dragons will reunite with their original vocalist, Sara Judy, accompanying Fisher, lead guitarist Jeff Mooney, harp player and guitarist Eddie Dewey and drummer Christopher “Z” Zion.
