ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Police Department has opened a new resource center in West Asheville, expanding access to services for residents and visitors, officials said.

The new center is located at Tanger Outlets Asheville, 800 Brevard Road, Suite 822, and will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding city holidays. The site allows community members to file reports, request copies of records and receive assistance from department staff.

Police said the existing Haywood Road Resource Center at 970 Haywood Road will remain open and continue serving as a neighborhood-based location.

The Brevard Road site is a larger, purpose-built facility staffed by a dedicated employee, providing in-person support and expanded records services.

Officials said residents can also continue using the department’s online Police-to-Citizen portal to report non-emergency incidents. Emergencies or crimes in progress should be reported by calling 911.
