ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Bitterly cold temperatures across Western North Carolina, with lows dipping into the teens and single digits, are disrupting school schedules and prompting additional closures and delays Tuesday.

Avery County Schools: Closed/optional teacher workday
Blue Ridge Community College: Closed
Buncombe County Schools: Remote learning day/optional teacher workday
Graham County Schools: Remote learning day
Haywood Community College: Closed
Haywood County Schools: Remote learning day/optional teacher workday
Henderson County Public Schools: Remote learning day/optional teacher workday
Jackson County Public Schools: Closed/optional teacher workday
Macon County Schools: Remote learning day
Madison County Schools: Closed
