Grove Arcade in Bloom: Shopping center preps for ‘botanical bonanza’

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) –The historic Grove Arcade shopping center will host the third annual Grove Arcade in Bloom next month. The free event will transform the downtown building into a floral wonderland, complete with giant flowers, a plant market, partner giveaways and more.

The springtime celebration will be held from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 25 at Grove Arcade, 1 Page Ave.

What to expect at Grove Arcade in Bloom

“Guests are invited to stroll through the Arcade as it fills with greenery, floral installations, live performances and hands-on activities for all ages,” Grove Arcade wrote in a press release. “This year’s celebration promises to be bigger, brighter and more immersive than ever.”

Live music at the festival will be provided by headliner Steve Okonski, member of Durand Jones & The Indications, and there will be dance performances by Stewart/Owen Dance.

According to the release, other featured activities include:

  • Immersive botanical experience and plant market by Ross Farm
  • Springtime makers market curated by the Southern Highland Craft Guild
  • Floral installations and pop-up shop by Studio Flora Diva, Inc.
  • Hourly tree giveaways with nonprofit partner Asheville GreenWorks
  • Aperol Spritz pop-up bar benefiting Asheville GreenWorks
  • Paper flower bouquets from Open Hearts Art Center
  • Face painting and kids’ crafts for young visitors
  • Interactive performance art throughout the afternoon

The event is free and open to the public.
