ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Big Crafty, Asheville’s semiannual craft shopping extravaganza, returns this weekend. Over 180 vendors will set up shop at Harrah’s Cherokee Center on Saturday and Sunday.

The Big Crafty will run from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7 at Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville, 87 Haywood St.

Saturday, or Preview Day, tickets cost $10 and can be purchased online or at the door.

Sunday, or Community Day, is free and open to the public.

The Big Crafty is back

At The Big Crafty, the downtown convention center is jam-packed with local artists. Booths are set up all over the building, circling the concourse and covering the arena floor.

This year, in addition to 100+ Big Crafty regulars, there will be over 30 new vendors at the event. Find a full list of the attendees here.

If you find yourself hankering for a snack as much as local artwork, Cooperative Coffee Roasters, Folk Saints, beeswax and butter and The Hop Handcrafted Ice Cream will have food for sale at the event. Harrah’s concessions will also be available for purchase.
