ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Drivers on Interstate 26 near Exit 25 should expect a brief slowdown late Tuesday morning as crews continue work on the I-26 Connector project.

Traffic will be slowed in both directions around 11 a.m. while crews conduct blasting for rock removal near the Broadway Street interchange.

The rolling slowdown will give crews time to safely complete the work. Drivers should expect brief delays and possible backups in the area.

The rock removal is part of ongoing work for the I-26 Connector project.

Tuesday’s work is weather-dependent and could be postponed or adjusted if conditions are unsuitable.
