ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A brand new coffee shop is coming to Haywood Road, and its beverages are herbal to a “tea.”

Plant Bar Asheville is opening inside of Asheville Dispensary, a West Asheville cannabis shop, this New Year with a launch party celebration. The event will be held from 5 to 10:30 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 4, at 919 Haywood Road.

The launch party, or “Grand Opening Extravaganza,” will feature “live music, local food, chair massages, Zero Proof Cocktails, our Seasonal Winter Specials Debut, All-You-Can-Drink Tea, and more,” according to the Plant Bar press release.

Plant Bar prides itself on its conscientious cocktails, brewing health-oriented espresso, bubble tea, herbal elixirs and traditional Chinese tea. Despite the bar in its name, the shop is dedicated to zero-proof, or alcohol-free, cocktails, which its website advertises as a “delicious and health-focused alternative to traditional alcoholic drinks.”

The party will be soundtracked by local music act Castanea as well as DJs Tara and Mikayla.

Plant Bar is the latest small business to open in Asheville, a sign that the city is regrowing in the New Year after the losses from Hurricane Helene.

More information about Plant Bar can be found on their website, www.visitplantbar.com.
