Rockslide temporarily closes Blue Ridge Parkway near Pisgah Inn

BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A rockslide blocked part of the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Pisgah Inn in Haywood County on Wednesday night, authorities said.

The slide occurred just south of the Frying Pan Tunnel, according to Pisgah Inn officials. No injuries were reported.

Crews cleared the debris, and the affected section of the Parkway reopened several hours later.
