Stone faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon and injury to personal property.

Stone is currently in federal custody on unrelated charges, according to APD.

The shooting happened about 3:29 p.m. April 26 at a residence on Atkinson Street. Officers responding to a report of a gunshot wound victim learned the victim had been taken to Mission Hospital by a third party before police arrived.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening. Officers and forensic technicians found multiple shell casings and several vehicles damaged by gunfire at the scene, police said.
