BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (828newsNOW) — White Horse Black Mountain, a nonprofit music venue located in the heart of Black Mountain, N.C., has launched a new family movie series called “Sunday Funday Movie Features.”

Tickets to the movie screenings are pay-what-you-can, though the suggested donation price is $5.

“We want everyone to access the healing power of movies!” White Horse wrote on their website. “Perhaps you can only afford a few dollars, or maybe you have resources to cover the cost for others. Donate What You Can!”

The series will launch with “Frozen,” the modern animated classic featuring “Let It Go” and starring Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Idina Menzel. “Frozen” will be shown from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Next up is “The Princess Bride,” the late, great director Rob Reiner’s classic fairy tale, from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Last in the debut trio is “Groundhog Day,” Bill Murray’s time loop comedy, from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, just in time to prepare for the real Groundhog Day that Monday.

According to a Facebook post by White Horse about the series, “More great movies are coming soon, so consider this just the beginning.”
